Nancy Johnson, O.D.

Dr. Nancy Johnson is a native of Tifton, Georgia who joined Berg Eye Group in 1995. She attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), then graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in biology.  She completed her doctorate of optometry degree at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she was named outstanding clinician in her graduating class.

Dr. Nancy Johnson is a board-certified optometrist.  She has extensive experience performing routine eye exams, fitting contact lenses, and providing monitoring and treatment of medical eye disease such as glaucoma and dry eye disease. A former Lasik patient herself, she also performs preoperative and postoperative care for refractive surgery patients.  

She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Georgia Optometric Association. She has served as president of the local chapter of the Georgia Optometric Association.

Dr. Johnson’s husband, Eric, is an engineer at Procter and Gamble in Albany.  They have a son, Jacob, and a daughter, Anna.
